Condition Overview
Stretch marks are scars in the dermis that form when the skin stretches faster than it can adapt, during pregnancy, growth spurts, muscle gain or weight change. They begin red or purple and fade to silvery lines, and because they sit below the surface, creams and oils do very little.
We treat stretch marks with microneedling, which rebuilds collagen within the marks on every skin tone, and fractional CO2 laser for deeper resurfacing. TempSure RF adds firmness to loose skin around them. Newer, red marks respond fastest, but mature marks improve too.
Understanding Stretch Marks
Stretch marks develop when the connective tissue in the dermis tears:
- Pregnancy, most often on the abdomen, hips and breasts
- Rapid weight gain or loss
- Growth spurts in adolescence
- Muscle building
- Genetics and corticosteroid use

How We Treat Stretch Marks
Our step by step process
- 1
Step 1: Assessment of age and depth
Red, newer marks and silvery mature marks respond differently, so we plan the number of sessions accordingly.
- 2
Step 2: Microneedling series
Three to six sessions a month apart stimulate collagen inside each mark.
- 3
Step 3: Fractional CO2 for deeper resurfacing
For wide or mature marks, three to four laser sessions six to eight weeks apart produce the strongest improvement.
- 4
Step 4: TempSure RF for firmness
Radiofrequency tightens loose skin on the abdomen, thighs or arms around the treated marks.
Abdomen and hips
- Post‑pregnancy and weight‑change marks
Thighs, buttocks and breasts
- Growth and hormonal marks
Arms and back
- Marks from muscle gain
Who is a good candidate for Stretch Marks treatment?
Anyone with stretch marks that have finished forming, at least six months after pregnancy or weight change. Results are improvement, not erasure, and we set that expectation honestly.
