Treatment Overview

Fractional CO2 is one of the most effective tools for scar revision. Deep acne scars, whether boxcar, ice‑pick or rolling, and raised or sunken surgical scars all improve as the laser breaks up scar tissue and stimulates organized new collagen.

For pigmentation we use conservative, low‑density settings that lift stubborn sun spots, lentigines and melasma while protecting the surrounding skin, and we pair laser with a topical protocol afterward to keep pigment from returning.

How to Prepare

• Attend a consultation with Dr. Iskander to confirm settings for your skin
• Avoid sun, tanning and self‑tanner for four weeks before
• Stop retinoids and acids one week before
• Let us know about cold sores, isotretinoin use or keloid history

What to Expect

• Numbing cream and a discussion of the settings chosen for your scar type or pigment
• Targeted laser passes over the scars or spots
• Redness, swelling and peeling over the first week
• Scars that flatten and blend, and spots that darken briefly then flake away

Aftercare

• Follow the healing kit instructions and keep the skin moist
• No makeup until peeling has finished
• Strict sun avoidance and SPF for four weeks
• Sleep elevated the first two nights to reduce swelling
