Treatment Overview
Laser hair removal targets pigment in the hair follicle with pulses of light, disabling growth while leaving the surrounding skin untouched. A series of six to eight sessions produces a lasting reduction on the face, underarms, bikini line, legs, back and chest.
Treatments are quick, safe for a range of skin tones with the right settings, and far less effort than a lifetime of shaving and waxing.
How to Prepare
- Attend a consultation with Dr. Iskander to confirm settings for your skin
- Avoid sun, tanning and self‑tanner for four weeks before
- Stop retinoids and acids one week before
- Let us know about cold sores, isotretinoin use or keloid history
What to Expect
- A patch test and settings chosen for your skin and hair
- Quick pulses that feel like a light snap
- Mild redness for an hour or two
- Hair shedding over two weeks, with less regrowth after each session
Aftercare
- Follow the healing kit instructions and keep the skin moist
- No makeup until peeling has finished
- Strict sun avoidance and SPF for four weeks
- Sleep elevated the first two nights to reduce swelling
